In light of Paris Saint-(PSG) Germain’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League, Christophe Galtier and Kylian Mbappe have spoken out about their futures at the club.
In the Round of 16 of the Champions League, Les Parisiens took on Bayern Munich hoping to overcome a one-goal disadvantage. Nevertheless, their plans did not materialize as they were defeated 2-0, dropping the tie 3-0 overall. Nonetheless, the French international has stated that his current goal is to support Paris win Ligue 1. When asked about his plans for the future, he declined to comment, but he seemed to leave the possibility open. The PSG futures are discussed by Christophe Galtier and Kylian Mbappe following Bayern Munich’s elimination from the UCL.
Galtier’s immediate future has also been a subject of discussion following PSG’s elimination from the Champions League. Although the French coach acknowledged that a decision on his future depends on the club’s leadership, he stressed that he is determined to finish the season with the team.
Kylian Mbappe might depart PSG.
At the end of the previous season, Kylian Mbappe was expected to sign with another team as a free agent. The 2018 FIFA World Cup champion appeared to be on the verge of joining La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid.
Nonetheless, the forward signed a new contract with Les Parisiens after an unexpected change in plans. He pledged his commitment to the club through the 2025 summer.
Yet, this does not imply that Mbappe will finish out his deal at Parc des Princes. The Athletic claims that Real Madrid is still interested in hiring him should he decide to quit the French powerhouses.
