RE: ALLEGED DEFAMATION OF AARE MOSHOOD ADEKUNLE OLUAWO BY NIPU
Our attention has been drawn to lies framed up against the personality of the Ekerin of Ikirun land, Chief Moshood Adekunle Oluawo by the so called NIPU group, just to draw the masses’ sympathy for their choice of prince in the race to Kingship.
It’s highly condemnable and barbaric for any group whatsoever, to be ascribing the attainment of Oba Yunus Akadir to his forefather’s throne as the handwork of chief Moshood Adekunle Oluawo, because Chief Moshood Adekunle Oluawo is not a kingmaker, also not a prince. It has to be stated for record purpose that chief Moshood Adekunle Oluawo was busy about five days to the day the Kingship selection occured, in preparation for the chieftaincy title of Otunba Gbobaniyi of Ada land bestowed on Ekerin of Ikirun land by the new king of Ada land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Oyetunde Olumuyiwa Ojo. The day of the chieftaincy title coincided with the day the new Akinrun was selected by the king makers, and as such, Ekerin of Ikirun land was at Ada town for his chieftaincy title. It is also worthy of note that Oba Yunus Akadir also said it on Fresh FM radio that it was the DIG Gazali Lawal who directed him to go and see chief Moshood Adekunle Oluawo when he was still a prince aspiring for the exalted position.
We therefore urge the entire NIPU to allow peace to reign in our town, shun anything that can cause the breakdown of law and order and avoid whatever that can threaten the unity of our town and discourage those who are doing good towards the development of our town.
Long live Ikirun land
Long live Ifelodun LG
Long live Osun state
Long live the federal republic of Nigeria.
