Arsenal are preparing for the biggest fixture of their season so far as they welcome Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night. The Gunners are just three points clear after taking just a single point from their last two fixtures.
Erling Haaland was taken off at half-time during City’s 3-1 win against Aston Villa at the weekend but it seems as though the Norwegian striker will be fit for the clash against Arsenal. Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta’s example at the Emirates Stadium is one of the key factors as to why Chelsea are standing by Graham Potter as Todd Boehly continues a mega-money rebuild at Stamford Bridge.
Prime co-owner KSI, also known as Olajide Olatunji or JJ, has aimed a dig at Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham in a recent event in Sydney, Australia. Stay tuned as we’ll have all the latest on that and more, here on the football.london Arsenal live blog.
Gabriel Jesus injury update
Mikel Arteta has confirmed no fresh injury concerns ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Manchester City whilst offering a fresh update on Jesus’ recovery.
Jesus has been absent since the beginning of December after undergoing knee surgery as a result of sustaining medial ligament damage during the World Cup group stage fixture against Cameroon.
Whilst there is no timeframe for his return to action, he is making very good progress.
“Doing really well he’s been doing quite a lot of work on the ball already and his rehab is going well,” Arteta revealed.
